5F-MDMB-2201 which is also known as 5-fluoro MDMB-PICA and N-[[1-(5-fluoropentyl)-1H-indol-3-yl]carbonyl]-3-methyl-L-valine, methyl ester, 5F-MDMB-2201 is specifically an Idazole-3-Carboaminide chemical, and does have similar chemical properties to other chemicals, such as ADB-FUBINACA and 5F-ADB.

Like other indazole synthetic cannabinoids,5F-MDMB-2201 binds to the human CB1 and CB2 receptors, creating a range of sensory and physiological effects.
